Riesling Vieilles Vignes bouteille bleue 2023

Taste

A character that reflects the original siliceous (soil) of this wine and also found in the mouth, associated with complex flavours (lemon, verbena, violet). Lively in the attack, strong, fresh and crisp to perfection, it is a "great Riesling terroir". Ready to accompany a noble fish, it also offers great opportunities for keeping in the cellar.

Gastronomy

Gourmet wine par excellence, it will perfectly match our beloved dishes from Alsace (Alsatian sauerkraut or fish and Baeckaoffa (dish with meat, potatoes & vegetables cooked in Riesling) and compliments all freshwater fish or seafood (such as fresh salmon cooked withTarragon).

History

King of the wines of Alsace by his seniority among the Rhine vines. Riesling has been cultivated since the 15th century and is considered one of the most prestigious white grapes in the world! Its small grapes, like green beans, ripen slowly in the sun and are late maturing. They require a soil exposure particularly favourable. The Riesling grape is probably the variety that best expresses the identity of its geologic soil.

The designation "Vieilles Vignes" refers to wines from old vines (at least 35 years of age). The main feature is less grapes and smaller berries but more concentrated flavours. These characteristics are reflected in the wine.
